RECENT EVENTS

Monday, March 9th, 2010-Team Kili was presented the 2009 Courage Award at the Tempe Sports Authority Courage Awards Ceremony. Congratulations to Team Kili & our own Sifu Tom Hicks for all the courage they showed us last summer hiking to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro & all the money they raised for the Blind Children's Foundation. We would also like to acknowledge Tom's wife, Louwani for all of her time, love & support she gives her Hubby!

February, 2010-Saturday was a rainy day but the weather didn't dampen our spirits! We worked stations, speed bag & kicking bag drills, kata & self defense. Thank yous to our Power Ranch MMA/Kenpo instructors, Sifu Tom Hicks, Sibak Roxie Ezell & Sibak Keegan Ezell for holding a special training session so we could all continue to prepare for our upcoming advanced belt testing on Saturday, March 13th.

Friday, January 29th, 2010-Friends, classmates, teachers & the PTA at Dejon Stutz's school held a Pancake Supper & Raffle Fundraiser to help his family with medical & travel expenses. So many people turned out to show their support-you could see the joy in Dejon's face as he saw all the people there. Dejon saw his local pediatrician the following Monday to have his stitches removed & may need to be in Minneapolis within the next three weeks to see the neurosurgeon for a check up. Over $5,000 was raised at the fundraiser & Dejon's Grandma shared: 'Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude to all that have offered their love & support to Dejon & his family. God's Blessings & Love to all, Grandma Cheryl'
